ExcerLock

App blocking

How your apps get a pause.

ExcerLock uses Apple Screen Time shields for the apps you choose.

You choose the apps

Use Conditions → Edit locked apps to update your selection. Apple’s picker represents apps with private tokens that stay on your device.

Your conditions set the rule

A condition defines the exercise and when it applies. An active, unmet condition can keep selected apps shielded. Review all of your active conditions if completing one does not give the result you expect.

Permission matters

Screen Time access lets ExcerLock apply shields. Motion & Fitness supports walking. Location supports the background walking and gym detection explained in the app. Check Settings → Data & permissions for the current status.

Keep expectations realistic

iOS may delay background detection. ExcerLock is a habit tool, not a security or parental-control system. It cannot promise instant detection or an unbreakable block. Keep essential apps available.
